This is an RHS recommended event being held at the nursery by Ben. It must be booked in advance via the RHS, please see below for booking information.
We are well known for our conservation work here at Blacksmiths Cottage Nursery. This event gives you the chance to join Ben for a tour of the collection we house here. We will be looking at Red Squirrels, House Sparrows, Common Quail, Grey Partridge, Cranes, Goosanders and Eider Ducks.
After a tour of the collection we will break for home-made refreshments before looking at how we can attract wildlife into gardens. We will look at all aspects of wildlife gardening, from selecting native shrubs for hedging to planning an insect friendly perennial border, looking at plants such as Eupatorium, Helianthus, Panicum and Verbenas.
